Advance praise for Eddie Huang’s Double Cup Love
“Another punch of passion . . . With his gift for conversation, edgy humor, and deeply knowledgeable palate, readers get a sense of a young chef on a serious quest. . . . His passion for food and determination to get things right—in the U.S., in China, and in his heart of hearts—mark every page.”—Publishers Weekly
“Huang possesses a fiery descriptive flair capable of splicing disparate cultural references with the acuity of a yakitori grill master. . . . A challenging author continues to bravely bare his soul along with his best dishes.”—Kirkus Reviews
Praise for Fresh off the Boat
“Brash and funny . . . outrageous, courageous, moving, ironic, and true.”—The New York Times Book Review
“Uproariously funny . . . emotionally honest.”—Chicago Tribune
“An artful work of personal history.”—Entertainment Weekly
Eddie Huang is the proprietor of Baohaus, a restaurant in New York City. He’s also the author of the New York Times bestselling memoir Fresh Off the Boat (now an ABC sitcom) and the host of Huang’s World on ViceTV.
So much to relate to...
评分表面嘻哈其实三观很正,loved all the witty metaphors, 结尾好伤感
评分It's always easy reading his words, just like watching all his Vice shows and interviews. I read the ending on a trip to wuhan and almost cheered on the flight when he proposed. By the time my flight landed, their engagement was broken off. I didn't expect it to be an emotional rollercoaster. Well done, I wish he find love eventually.
评分戛然而止,很轻描淡写的带过的结尾,我以为会在一起happily ever after,但只对了半句。
