评分这本书是个修辞法入门总结，外行看了各种惊叹，以后看英文都会有不一样的感觉，会更敏锐去捕捉：哦原来如此这里用了xxx(这种比较难)，那里用了xxx(这种是偷懒)。要推荐给非专业人士，又好笑又实用。莎士比亚的分析部分。各个修辞法常有许多举例，哪个作家最擅长这个。
评分條理清晰和流暢感讓這本書就算有很多看不懂的詞也不會讓人覺得吃力。介紹了很多種英文的修辭手法，從中世紀文學到現代搖滾的歌詞里找出相似之處來解釋每種手法的用法和效果，很推薦對linguistic有興趣的讀者。
