重读。相较于巴特勒的对言行理论的时间阐释(citationality)，Sedgwick从空间化角度来做“另类”补充。她提出了periperformativity，进而延伸到舞台表演与剧场性的问题，又牵出另一条线情动理论。而修复式阅读则更尝试用愉悦的美学观来解读文本，这有点接近于福柯的自我技术。塞与巴同为酷儿研究的标杆性人物，Sedgwick却更少被提及，想来巴特勒用拉康和福柯对前人的梳理、补漏、纠偏也“更适合成为正典”。不过比起使用许多理论工具的巴特勒，她在书中就表现出了她对理论的“警惕”，警惕tautology of sexual difference. 她的研究某种意义上也实践她的了她的“周边”阐释，一种点式的发散而非系统性的整理。读的时候会像充满智慧的长者在“温柔”地和你对话。

Sedgwick论述立场的平衡感保持地相当“优雅”，把Tomkins的情感理论放置在后结构的语境中。但和许多后结构理论家的底色不同，Sedgwick强调情感的政治潜力（尤其论述Jamesian shame behind his erotic semantics），并在最后一章为reparative reading被paranoid reading这样的strong theory“遮光”而鸣不平。阅读过程中，会十分强烈地为Sedgwick“提前”被乳腺癌夺去生命而惋惜。我看来她是那类真正的文学评论家，用文字折射生命经验，而且还力图跨越许多身份隔阂。可以说她目前是我最喜欢的理论家了。

Sedgwick绝对是我“又爱又恨”榜单第一名。。。前两次跟她死磕我都死得很惨，course paper, writing sample之后她竟然又出现在了thesis必读中。。。。
