BRILLIANT!!! Expectation/reality, madness/sanity, order/disorder... An polemic allegory that somehow manages to avoid sounding overly political/evangelical. Ahh I love the ending so much. Is the doctor perhaps the manifestation of the author himself? Does the fate of the villagers really depend on the doctor's nihilistic whims?

英文譯者顯然把長句處理的很好，相比之下中譯本語言上遜色太多，沒有保留句子的韻律和詩意，非常可惜。

记得在早好多年前就听过《撒旦探戈》，应该电影的缘故吧。不少好的改编电影都是对原著很好的补充，从“感觉”上的补充，毕竟小说是saying，而电影是showing，反正是很好的相互补充。这小说的结构分上下部分，正序倒序各6章，隐喻为探戈舞步。小说的语言有着拉斯洛独有的粘稠...
