塞繆爾·亨廷頓哈佛大學阿爾伯特·魏斯赫德三世(Albert J.WeatherheadⅢ)學院教授，哈佛國際和地區問題研究所所長，約翰·奧林戰略研究所主任。曾任卡特政府國傢安全委員會安全計劃顧問，《外交政策》雜誌發起人與兩主編之一，美國政治學會會長。有大量學術著作及論文問世。
