The Good Earth is a novel by Pearl S. Buck, first published in 1931, which was awarded the Pulitzer Prize for the Novel in 1932. It is the first book in a trilogy that includes the books Sons (1932) and A House Divided (1935).

评分An insipid storyline with ugly taints of unrealistic, nerve-racking theatrical languages. The language just reeks fetishism. But the characters are well constructed, and that compensates for stylistic shortcomings.

评分那個時代最真實的中國的樣子，雖然王龍身上有很多當時中國人的劣根，但是我還是很喜歡這個農民的......賽珍珠的描寫很不錯，但有的時候也會覺得她真的好囉裏八嗦啊????
