最喜歡的是同名的短篇故事。
评分李翊雲第一次寫小說，是用英語。她是中國人，1973年生，北大生物係畢業後到美國留學。她說：英語給她錶達的自由。 在書蟲看到她，非常欣賞。那種淳樸誠實的氣質，和她自己喜歡的小說的“villageness"的風格，倒是相承。會場上，她不知說瞭幾次抱歉不瞭解，不知道，所以迴答不瞭你的問題。啊，我有多久沒有見過這樣的“自然”人。 中國作傢裏她喜歡瀋從文和老捨。外國則是她一再提及的愛爾蘭作傢William Trevor，後者小說的人物身上便有她為之著迷的villageness。

评分前兩個短篇就是開胃菜，後麵每一個短篇都是緻鬱的神傷。看完接下來後的每一個短篇都鬱結得想去操場跑圈。所有給li Yiyun的韆年祈願打三星的中國讀者一定被深深地傷害瞭中國人的感情。作者算是個溫柔的人，處處手下留情瞭
