More than a whiff of silent tension in the air. Insomniacs. Drunken, broken lives. Constant coffee and cigarettes. Inexplicable longings and uneasiness out of the blue. P.S. "My former wife" appears in just about every single story...the autobiographical vein certainly shows through enough. Especially recommended: "Boxes," "Elephant," and "Errand."
