What about hiring mercenaries to fight our wars, outsourcing inmates to for-profit prisons, auctioning admission to elite universities, or selling citizenship to immigrants willing to pay? Isn't there something wrong with a world in which everything is for sale? In recent decades, market values have crowded out nonmarket norms in almost every aspect of life-medicine, education, government, law, art, sports, even family life and personal relations. Without quite realizing it, Sandel argues, we have drifted from having a market economy to being a market society. 這本書斷斷續續讀瞭好幾年，最近終於看完瞭。前半部分印象不深瞭，第三和第四章相對比較有意思。尤其是第四章從倫理角度講建立在他人生死基礎上的賭博以及金融衍生産品的不道德。不管彆人怎麼看，我買帳。最後一章講冠名權，贅述瞭太多事實，論點和論據非常不充足
