In Central Asia in World History, Peter B. Golden provides an engaging account of this important region, ranging from prehistory to the present, focusing largely on the unique melting pot of cultures that this region has produced over millennia. Golden describes the traders who braved the heat and cold along caravan routes to link East Asia and Europe; the Mongol Empire of Chinggis Khan and his successors, the largest contiguous land empire in history; the invention of gunpowder, which allowed the great sedentary empires to overcome the horse-based nomads; the power struggles of Russia and China, and later Russia and Britain, for control of the area. Finally, he discusses the region today, a key area that neighbors such geopolitical hot spots as Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and China.

一百四十頁的小史隻能packed with names，讀瞭兩章就開始記筆記不然讀著就丟瞭；兩門CEUS的課都上成瞭區域研究的概覽，估計三次quiz就乾掉瞭一波沒有任何語言準備的學生，做中亞史的老師曆史訓練都是自己acquired? 快期末瞭也不知道紀行文學怎麼當文學文本來讀(本身就是個假命題？)，還是找篇老師的論文看好瞭。

jadid建立瞭橫跨歐亞穆教團體的聯係，奧斯曼帝國與中亞穆教徒的思想交流，以及奧斯曼帝國在中亞知識分子中的想象與認知還需要更多探討。尤其是其在xj扮演的角色，在潘誌平的幾篇論文中有所涉及。巴爾乾地區的土耳其人及其他穆教徒在這場運動中的參與也值得關注。有意思的是，幾行文字也提到瞭在清和民國時期西部的revolts中，武器彈藥的運輸經由英屬印度，3大Е-turk人物也在阿富汗有過逗留，可以透過當代uy人將Pakistan作為活動的一座橋頭堡與世界性活動相連，以及後00時代revolts與Taliban的接觸來猜測他們在南亞也許早有瞭情報網絡與活動中心。期待這方麵的後世作品。

我……終於看完瞭這一本…… 感覺對中亞有一些瞭解瞭，但還是迷迷糊糊的。因為以前沒有接觸過，所以果然這一本書隻是交給我一些基礎知識吧，更深入的瞭解要再去讀其他的書。還有三本書要看……
