读的过程无比痛苦，作者要说什么？要讲什么？都是令我难以捉摸和判断的。但是真要是读完，放一阵子再回想起来，那种日式思维的甜腻就涌上喉咙——书是有趣的。

“日本人都读不懂的日语”（平田昌司），诚如斯言...不过看得明白的部分已经够反刍玩味好一阵的了。酒井的研究特别之处在于，他谈的始终还是日本的“个殊”，而不是像很多后殖民研究那样，在内爆普遍性时仍旧站在普遍性层面上，导致一切都只好烟消云散，也丧失了自己的立足点。这倒是与这些人“前宗主国中的前他者”处境相称。酒井这里没有一种关于解构的宏大叙事，有的只是关于具体时空中知识的地缘政治学。不得不承认，这是跟日本在殖民史上的地位的“二重结构”特征相适应的方法论。
