她的小说总充满了宿命论的基调，似乎是在老年已至回望人生，感叹一切都是命运的安排，但却不乏希望的光，黄色的丝带与房子，在暗黑的人生中闪出一丝救赎温暖之光。可是读来还是不免抑郁甚至绝望。

这本实在是令人失望，除了Dimensions和Wenlock Edge有点意思，其他都读来味同嚼蜡。非常不喜欢门罗小说中流水账式的冗长叙述，太多不必要的细节加上留白使得文本充满断裂感。小说完全变成了猜谜语般的填字游戏，却毫无美感。何况就算是那两篇读完也很不舒服，狗血剧情加上韩剧桥段的结尾，人物心理处理得很粗糙。比如说Wenlock Edge中的女主角，最终出于自尊心选择报复，但这整个故事就是不合情理的，她为何会选择去赴宴？如果是一个内心很骄傲的人就更不可能臣服于权威之下了。总而言之漏洞好多。
