#论文# 比较well-round的关于乔叟和女权的书。主要读了第四章Misogynist Versus Feminist Chaucer，有简短介绍乔叟时代英国的社会混乱和人们骨子里对女性的歧视。了解之后对于理解The Wife of Bath还蛮有帮助。所以说，To attribute a modern conception of tragedy of Chaucer would be to deny his faith in the Providential order and to make him, in his cultural environment, a shallow fool.
