Twelve-year-old Robin had a terrifying experience at camp the summer her parents divorced. She dared to sneak away from her bunk at night with her friend Amelia to go swimming in the dark, a dare that the timid Amelia accepted very reluctantly. The adventure ended in tragedy. Afterwards, Robin's nightmares won't go away, worrying her father when she refuses to confide in him. And then one eerily quiet night, he looks in on his sleeping daughter - and discovers every parent's nightmare.
