In this collection of essays and lectures, D. Grossman writes about the books that inspired him as well as his views on a wide arrange of issues, including identity, the role of mass media, alienation of the other, fear, and peace. My favorite pieces are "The Desire to be Gisella" and "Individual language and Mass Language."
