2020.2.23，Toronto Public Library。美籍台湾作家的故事，生活在加国的新移民没有同感。一方面是由于，美国这个大熔炉，不重新熔炼成美国人的样子，就难以生存；而加拿大这个移民国家则是大杂烩，proud of difference。另一方面，中国三十年来的快速发展，已经让新移民的生活更加自信和自在了，我们完全没有那种“少数族裔”的敏感。另外，这文字相比真正的英文作品，显得太生硬了。。。对于我来说，它不是文从字顺的英文作品，也不是有同感的华人文学。。。
