历史脉络不清晰，大段大段使用史籍，语言干涩枯燥，章节内容重复，可读性远不如the city of djinns。虽然声称从莫卧儿和印度军角度叙述历史，其实还是从英军的角度描述事件。

《最后的莫卧儿》译到这一句：“except to inch forward from Delhi College and, on the morning of the 16th, to take the magazine immediately to its south”，等等，Delhi College不是在德里城西南Ajmer Gate的棱堡里面吗？怎么跑到城东北军火库的北面了？于是又花了半天时间查。。。
