在时隔31年之后，Curley翻译的The Collected Works of Spinoza: Volume II马上就要出了。然并卵，早期现代哲学史研究依旧门可罗雀。

如果说斯宾诺莎是理性主义走到头了的笛卡尔，那么罗卡就是理性主义走到头的斯宾诺莎。第一章和最后一章比较有趣，澄清了一些困惑，比如“自然可理解性”的含义（但实际上这只不过是指向了自然的不可理解性）；整体来说，前边的形而上学部分还不错（我在这一块比较薄弱）；到了认识论的部分就有一些平庸，又缺少了关于知识理论的讨论，感觉十分遗憾；心理学部分基本是老生常谈毫无洞见，到了政治学部分就是无聊了。昨天重读完施圣斯宾诺莎讲稿的导言，然后再看本书的政治学部分简直看不下去；最后关于sub specie aeternitatis的论证完全不能接受。感觉和老一辈学者相比，现在的书会更多地纠结于细枝末节，尤其是斯宾诺莎本人讲得很清楚的东西，也要用自己的话再说一遍，十分无聊。但是不这么写，又会被说论证跳跃，sigh
