著者簡介

Matthew C. Klein is the economics commentator at Barron’s. He lives in San Francisco, CA. Michael Pettis is professor of finance at Peking University’s Guanghua School of Management and a senior fellow at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace. He lives in Beijing.

拉裏薦書係列。幾乎從國際貿易的角度講瞭一遍資本主義現代史。講中國和美國的部分稍微有點陳詞濫調，德國聊的不錯。前三章對貿易經濟學和現代企業在貿易中角色的綜述也棒極瞭，甚至可以作為一本放在書架上經常參考的工具書。

可以通過這本書學到很多國際貿易，金融曆史和現狀的知識。180年前大清國與大英帝國的鴉片戰爭不是關於鴉片的，而是關於貿易的。鴉片戰爭隻是從貿易矛盾升華到熱戰的程度，背後是因為貿易的不平衡，雙方爭奪的是如何成為一個順差國。而今天的中美的貿易戰本質是不同國傢由於全球化造成的內部矛盾。貿易戰有三方玩傢，收益方是資本在全球流動過程中錢生錢的財團和銀行獲得巨大的利潤，另外兩個玩傢是像中國那樣低收入的貿易順差國傢和被壓迫的普通人。還有受到失業的壓迫以及債務的上升像美國那樣的貿易逆差國傢的普通人。受益者是跨國財團，受害人是中美兩國的普通老百姓。川普當選後是代錶美國中低層的人們利益，他們對華爾街那些財團以及全球化造成的負麵影響是不滿的，這些民眾都是不滿現狀，想要改變。唯一辦法是去全球化或逆全球化。
