Foreword
I first met her five weeks after my son Joel died.
At that time, I didn't think there was anything or anyone who could
help me. I hurt all over, in every single part of my life - deeply and
intensely; pain brimmed over under the weight of the single most im-
mense mind- and life-altering experience of my existence.. ~ I had
outlived my child.
I wanted him back. Nothing else mattered.
So will I comfortyou ~ ~ ~ is Jenny speaking to you as she spoke to me.
With the skill to put it all in writing, she uses its pages to help you take
charge of your life once more.
This book will acknowledge and validate you. It will urge and en-
courage you. Its instinctive and uncanny logic will make sense where
nothing else does. The gentle wisdom will warm and comfort you; the
stillness and quietness will draw you into that suspension of pain
towards a place where you can catch your breath.
So will I comfort you.., is the closest thing to meaningful support
that I know of. In the outrageous irreversibility of your child's death,
Jenny Kander makes a difference.
If you are a bereaved parent, this book will help you.
