著者簡介

•萊茵霍爾德•尼布爾（1892-1972）生於美國密蘇裏州的德國移民傢庭。後來成為福音派的牧師，在美國宗教的最高殿堂協和神學院任教三十餘年。他是美國20世紀最重要的知識分子之一，對美國思想界的左派和右派都有巨大的影響。

•80年代以來，他對美國政治思想界的影響與日俱增，半個世紀以來，美國總統們的真正教父。肯尼迪、卡特、裏根身後真正的智庫。也是現任總統奧巴馬公開承認的最崇拜的哲學傢。
