简・奥斯丁(1775―1817),英国十九世纪初期杰出的现实主义小说家。她出生在英格兰汉普郡一个乡村牧师的家庭,从小没有上过正规学校,只在父母的指导下阅读了大量古典文学作品和流行小说。她终身未婚,二十岁左右开始写作,先后写出六部反映英国乡绅生活的长篇小说。一八一一年,匿名发表了《理智与情感》,受到好评,以后又接连出版了《傲慢与偏见》(1813)、《曼斯菲尔德庄园》(1814)、《爱玛》(1815)。她逝世后的第二年,《诺桑觉寺》和《劝导》同时问世,并且第一次署上作者的真名。

评分看这个版本的目的其一是为了一览附录一所载草稿版的结尾。观后深刻体会到文学作品是需要反复修改的。奥斯汀女士此稿中男女主重诉衷肠的情节安排并无写信、读信这一与作品格调统一的含蓄手法，直接安排情节让二人对谈、直抒胸臆。为了将两人拉坐一处，情节巧合叠巧合不说，男主妹夫的部分台词仿佛故意拉郎配，由是直接将作品拉落业余水准。读者幸甚，这一段显然只是作者铺垫结尾的其中一个设想，在出现更好的选择后已然弃用。老舍先生在谈作文的文章中提及自己的创作经历也曾说起经常将成文的数百千字尽弃。可见天下文章皆自改。
评分第一次读已经是三年前的事了，好快！这一次读，感觉有点不喜欢罗里吧嗦的叙事风格，以及第一个蹦入脑海的想法是：07年mini剧改编得实在太好了！深入我心！
