The Birth of Tragedy (1872) is a book about the origins of Greek tragedy and its relevance to the German culture of its time. 评分首先版本很重要，牛津大學版本有長達20多頁的介紹，對理解這本深奧的著作十分有幫助，光是introduction就很有挑戰瞭。作為評價美學的書，本身寫得很美，語言和邏輯上都很精彩。尤其是作為原創的觀點，非常驚人，到今天讀起來還是驚訝於尼采的天賦，雖然有些邏輯確實牽強或者論述不足。另外書簡直魔性，讀的過程中整個人都不好瞭，像腦子裏有Apollo與Dionysus在打架，無法平靜，晚上睡覺都不安穩，直到看到15章，悲劇終於滅亡瞭，纔得到安寜。。需要多讀幾遍，句子太長瞭，原文比周國平的翻譯更好理解點
