Sally Rooney was born in 1991 and lives in Dublin. Her work has appeared in the New Yorker, Granta, The White Review, The Dublin Review, The Stinging Fly, Kevin Barry's Stonecutter and The Winter Page anthology. Her debut novel, Conversations with Friends, was the most popular debut in the 2017 end-of-year round-ups. Rooney was shortlisted for the Sunday Times EFG Short Story Award for 'Mr Salary' and was the winner of the Sunday Times/PFD Young Writer of the Year Award.

Frances is twenty-one years old, cool-headed and observant. A student in Dublin and an aspiring writer, at night she performs spoken word with her best friend Bobbi, who used to be her girlfriend. 前麵看的算得上hooked，到瞭後半部分，尤其最後的三分之一，真是自戀大過天。刻薄一點的話，Frances的心態有點歐美郭敬明呃。

评分definitely a very provocative novel exploring the boundary of intimate relationship:)the way sally juxtaposes various extremely complex feelings together is also fascinating. love the indifferent way she depicts things btw & i’ve learnt not to define any kind of emotion cuz i don’t wanna “impose any prefabricated cultural dynamic out of my control”
