比《社会学的想象力》更适合新手入门，比《与社会学同游》更贴近当代现实，比《社会学的邀请》更具大家气度，不罗列名人名言，不炫示专业黑话，切中时弊，情怀坦荡，延续上两版鲍曼立场与眼光，续作或增补或改写数万字，义理依旧，辞章略逊。中译者若能真正具有深厚功力，更能使新手感觉界面友好，可惜。

书内容其实很不错，但是这几个翻译实在太烂了。前后明显是多人翻译拼凑，越到后面翻译越烂，一看就知道肯定是机器翻译再加一点人工干预搞出来的东西！

读《通过社会学去思考》第一章，感觉绝对是清新可喜。鲍曼没有像想象中一样，使用一连串艰深的学术名词，来表达抽象的理念。也没有像密集轰炸一般旁征博引，抛出一个又一个学者或专著的名字。他压根就像一个和善的老师，以一种舒服的姿态坐在沙发里面，神态轻松地在和你面谈。 ...
