A bit messy sometimes, but very strong thesis. An informative read.
评分關於小羅斯福時期國內經濟政策的另一部經典，相比Ellis Hawley的The Problem of Monopoly，個人更喜歡這本。Brinkley將1937年之後新政自由主義轉型的曆史背景分析地很透，對幾派勢力的劃分也比Hawley更復雜細膩，中間穿插的十幾個人物傳記性描寫很有吸引力，對於具體政策變化、機構撤立背後政治鬥爭的分析也有不少讓人叫好之處。Brinkley教授已於去年因類似阿茲海默癥的惡疾不幸離世，RIP。
