前四分之三都是上等佳作，尤其体现在行文上。近几年读虚构类的英文书很少读到这么流畅的。情绪感染力也一流，话题依也非常值得探讨：当一个人是一个少数群体的一员的时候，他是很难不说这个群体的好话的，否则他瞬间就会变成“坏人”。后四分之一则有些垮掉了，简直误以为在看一部旅游浪漫剧。

作者的文笔真的是我读过的有限的英语文学里最能引起共鸣之一了故事情节相对轻松简单整个阅读体验还是很愉悦的

Happy ending有点没意思，并且读到一半就被剧透了。文字很好笑，哭笑不得的那种????，又透着迷之忧郁。讲到三十年前老情人快要离世了那段有点触动的，但总体来说还是感觉一部young adult romance而已，可能五十岁男主人公的innocence刻画太深刻？？？
