Modleski一反film studies業界對Hitch“厭惡女人”的慣性看法，也不支持Hitch其實在作品裏深深同情女人在父權之下的迫害，她總結hitch的態度為thoroughgoing ambivalence. 非常同意。應該是每個研究Hitch或者對Hitchcock感興趣的影迷的必讀書籍吧
