藉標思凡劇社2019版，張力從技術權威與政治權威的衝突，微妙地轉移到“多數人的暴力”，再然後是生存（利益）與求真的不協，看起來真理在少數人手裏，但這份孤獨，卻脫離不瞭血緣及其延伸齣來的小鎮社會，寄托夢想的“新大陸”，恐怕也是幻想。ibsen在19世紀就洞察到這種糾纏，並集中在一個亦正亦瘋的人物上，相當有改編的空間。
