看來厄普代克的作品挺適合我

今年看的第一本书。这本书大概买了四年了，两年前在英国又买了一本，今天才因为困在疫区（明早小区封锁）看完。对我来说，Updike的感情可能太细腻太琐碎了，行文尽量克制，但用词又相当夸张，比如用得最多的表示感情的：frighten, afraid, shock, fear, startle, lopsided, irritated, annoy, repentance. 对于事物的描述经常在极度细致和轮廓之间游移：shadow, irises, silhouette, thick/thickness, squint. 但这是我渡过的第一本真正的全知视角的书，能以女性的口吻讲述，了不起。此外，拖尾式的比喻很像鹏总。what’s eating u?

不是很喜欢，叙述用力过度。兔子先生最后跑向何方的开放结尾完全无法引起我的兴趣去探讨，老子管他跑哪儿去。无法忘记青春辉煌的成年人接受不了自己眼下的烂摊子，生活如同圈套，连逃跑的路都像个圈套。也许这是一个成长型小说，对的选择和好的选择。 Updike自己说这些本书是为了回击Kerouac那本on the road，这个还算有意思。不知方向时可以上路吗？
