加拿大女作傢瑪格麗特·艾特伍德生於1939年，30年寫作生涯中得奬無數。作品超過25本，包括詩集、小說、文集，其中最負盛名的應是長篇小說：《可食用的女人》、《貓眼》等等，其中《盲刺客》榮獲2000年布剋奬，已經有超過35種語言的譯本。
