制度論的確是比政中繞不開的一環，读了Claus Offe和 Paul Pierson写的两章，Offe的比较易懂，分类清楚，结构明晰。似乎文章中沒提到的4I（Information, Institution, Idealogy, Interests）彼此的关系更值得好好思考。

详读部分章节：Offe厘定制度起源、运作和社会权力的定义，比较清晰；Moe谈到制度主义研究、尤其是占上风的博弈论、契约论和合作主义研究过分强调”自愿“，忽视权力以至暴力作为制度的起源，及制度在保障权力上的作用，自愿合作或路径依赖并不排除背后的权力逻辑。Smith提出有趣的问题，触及制度主义视角的核心：众人的想法何时和如何凝聚成可观察、可持续并有强制力的制度？以美国政治中种族相关制度为例，强调政治”秩序“是比制度更宏大的政治背景，要重视”前制度“时代的政治博弈和意识形态言说如何塑造各方认可的制度效应。Piersen总结用制度主义研究公共政策的成果。其余经验研究章节翻阅。制度主义目前还是在几个问题上打转：动态演变问题，起源与维持问题的二分，结构—主体纠结，各具体政策领域研究如何对话，等。
