Down-and-out drunk Terry Lennox has a problem: his millionaire wife is dead and he needs to get out of LA fast. So he turns to his only friend in the world: Philip Marlowe, Private Investigator. He's willing to help a man down on his luck, but later, Lennox commits suicide in Mexico and things start to turn nasty. 前面铺垫太多，最后揭开谜底就六分之一篇幅还不到，有点急促，看的是英文版，发现作者很喜欢用swung和jerk，次数真的太频繁。。不过Marlowe刻画得很到位。另，看完书我去酒吧喝了一杯gimlet。
评分就还好吧，悬疑是不错，但是总觉得男主有点作，有点故弄玄虚，有点优越感，哈哈哈哈哈
评分凭着村上春树读了10多遍的噱头，阅读这本首版于1953年的小说。

评分#2020ReadingChallenge13 InvolvesAroundAPuzzle 十年了，重读起来好像更沉了一点。“the wild, mysterious, improbable kind of love that never comes but once.”钱德勒金句连连，和the Wades crossed fire的一大段几乎忘了Terry的案件线。十年前只记住头尾，原版果然能更体会乐趣。常看常新，多看一遍又多活一次。
