One religion story but still worth reading. Uncle Tom bravely stand up for his master. Fortunately, he met an angel on his way to sell. He spent a happy but short period with the kindly family. Then he was sold to a crucial farmer. Although he died finally under the unhumanly treatment, he lighted the fire of hope in the hearts of slaves.

Harriet Beecher 运用多种人物以及他们背后的思想冲突，表现黑人奴隶的悲惨生活境遇和蠢蠢欲动的自由思想。事实上，作者自己在小说中经常借用他人之口表达他激进的观点，甚至抽离出来，以作者身份激动地评论。不难想象，这本书最终成为了内战的导火索之一。
