傢長裏短，喋喋不休，無病呻吟，全程無亮點。不敢相信是《贖罪》電影的作者，也許某些作者就是為瞭寫一本書而寫作的。或許不是，或許是他的文章還看得不都，現在評判還為時尚早？

這本書太細膩瞭。每一個日常的瑣碎細節都描寫的口吐蓮花。不是我喜歡的類型，雖然它有相當優美的文字和內斂的深邃。我想我最不喜歡的是內容和主題吧，從來對中産階級豐盈與穩定的平凡生活不感興趣，更是對歐美人民對恐怖分子的那種敏感和恐懼感到嗤之以鼻。
