作者简介

RUTH BENEDICT (1887-1948) was one of the twentieth century's foremost anthropologists and helped to shape the discipline in the United States and around the world. Benedict was a student and later a colleague of Franz Boas at Columbia, where she taught from 1924. Margaret Mead was one of her students. Benedict's contributions to the field of cultural anthropology are often cited today.

要束缚不要舒服的民族。最终捡起来看的原因是广告狂人里跟日本人做生意，头天晚上Don在家读这本书。1944年写这本书是因为战争，Mad Men是为了商业战争。美国人不太在乎历史，倒是喜欢把现在的功课做足，实用主义，分析权衡，游走投机

Written by a literature author. The structure and lexicon of these sentences are kind of hard to understand. But after you read through it, you will have a great lift on the ability to analyze the complex sentences. Concerning to the book itself, it talks about how Japanese grow into such an exotic conduct of life and strange behaviors.

从写作背景和预期的效用来讲不清楚是否能冠以伟大之名但必然是一部经典在战后七十多年才阅读自然需要带着历史局限性的鉴别意识然而作为西方人能对日本做出如此细致到巅毫的解读着实堪比愚公移山之功即便在邻国中国也鲜有见到类似相近的作品 // 必须提一下这位十九世纪出生的作者语言功力尤其是摆弄超长句的功力十分了得小生大把时间在思考如何断句主语是啥这句到底是肯定还是否定单词相比倒是小问题了
