Gilgamesh, King of Uruk, and his companion Enkidu are the only heroes to have survived from the ancient literature of Babylon, immortalized in this epic poem that dates back to the 3rd millennium BC. 评分I finally gave the work its own right, as I read it as a whole and sequentially followed its plot. Before this reading, this work often appears in bits here and there as parallel texts to the Bible. This epic deserves its fame and I seemingly understand Ashurbanipal's fascination of it. It's about friendship, coming of age, and quest of immorality.
