It definitely uses some of the cheap psychological tricks to get readers hooked- a novel lacking overall coherence. Our reality is so far yet so close to the dystopia described in the book.

太壓抑瞭，完全不能一口氣看完，看得心裏難受。幸好生在瞭現在這個年代，也幸好活不到也許這樣的社會會成為現實的時候。
