Stanley Yelnats is under a curse. A curse that began with his no-good-dirty-rotten-pig-stealing-great-great-grandfather and has since followed generations of Yelnats. Now Stanley has been unjustly sent to a boys' detention center, Camp Green Lake, where the warden makes the boys "build character" by spending all day, every day, digging holes: five feet wide and five feet deep. 虽然是儿童读物，可是语言真的真的很美。 虽然是一个少年的短暂经历，可是里面的小段爱情故事却能瞬间打湿眼眶。 和《当世界还小的时候》是同等次的美丽的文字，却又截然不同。 不知道有没有中译本，即使有请也不要拿来看！ 会让人回味，阅读是一件妙的事！

童書，一樣非常適閤成年人看。 1.答應彆人的事情一定要做到，否則會被詛咒祖祖輩輩。 2.永遠心存善意，對彆人的悲慘遭遇要盡量去幫助。Stanley真是好孩子啊。 3.在你覺得走不下去的時候，繼續堅持，你永遠不知道自己的潛力有多大。 校園霸淩，監獄欺淩，虐待兒童，非法監禁，底層貧睏，成人貪欲，這世界一直就這麼難，沒有發生在我們身上不代錶沒有發生過。 一切的因緣際會，冥冥之中隻有命運做好瞭安排。一切都是自作自受，自我圓滿。

评分很喜歡 Stanley 和 Zero在山上相依為命後冒險迴來尋找寶藏的情節。也對Stanley在山上的一晚突然醒來，對人生感悟並變得自信的部分。
评分三天讀完一本英文原著，讓人不忍釋捲的一本書！反套路而不狗血，正能量而不說教。作為兒童文學用詞簡單到讓英語渣可以暢讀，輪迴、宿命感、魔幻現實什麼的，最愛瞭！4.5星，虛構類圖書裏最高的一次獻給本書！
