really like this book! Just started reading the English version, although have finished Chinese version in 2003

3.5星吧，Brooks的優缺點一直明顯：優點是寫到自己擅長的主題（比如公知如何騙吃騙喝）特彆精彩，以及文筆極佳；缺點是標準的美國問題，世界觀比較狹隘，所有問題都簡單化和粗綫條，以及老想傳教

还是从Jennifer Schecter说起。那部虽然情节支离破碎，愈演愈黄愈暴力，唯有一点是深得我心：它对主流价值的态度，至少不卑不亢。而Jenny以IC为原型，该当是全片的灵魂人物——尽管她的人格跟情节一样支离破碎，在第四季里更演化成the devil wears prada。但当人物有光芒可耀亮...
