评分梵高开始画画的最初两年的错误是非常令人信服的教育典范。其中一种比例错误来自人的认知 - 很少有人搞错面部特征，但通常会画出一个非常小的后脑勺因为大脑认为那部分并不重要。更好的一本是《素描的诀窍》。
