大衛·阿古斯(David B. Agus)
南加州大學凱剋醫學院(Keck School of Medicine)醫學教授。南加州大學西城癌癥中心(USC Westside Cancer Center)暨應用分子醫學中心主任。主要研究蛋白質組學和基因組學在癌癥研究中的應用,並緻力於開發癌癥新療法。他從普林斯頓大學獲得本科學位,之後又在賓夕法尼亞大學獲得醫學博士學位。阿古斯已獲得多項榮譽和奬項,包括美國癌癥協會醫師研究奬、斯隆凱特琳研究所臨床學者奬、國際骨髓瘤基金會“科學遠見卓識奬”,以及2009年《GQ》雜誌“科學搖滾之星奬”。
作者的想法還是很贊同的。比如揭露補充維生素的無用,運動的好處。希望早早看到翻譯本

評分書的比例我覺得不是太好。作者在裡麵介紹自己對未來醫學前景的期待,例如個人化的看診,配藥;病例的網上分享;dna診斷的應用的。還是蠻有趣的。也講瞭一些據爭議性的話題,例如保健品究竟有沒有用。當然還有一些健康建議,不過這些都是很常見的,如果平時有留意科普,健康的期刊這些應該早都知道。作者用瞭很大篇幅介紹我們都take for granted的東西,例如有一大章節講科學傢怎樣發現運動有益健康。我覺得講這個好像沒什麼必要,令到本書重點不知道在哪裡,而且很囉嗦。
