感覺書名局限瞭這本書的受眾。。。作者對城市性（cityness）和邊緣（periphery）的解讀讓人耳目一新，通過這兩個概念的勾連來剖析窮人在非正規空間裏的能動性也富有洞見（不過感覺作者在有意規避正規與非正規之間的二分，這一點也要點贊）。但是這種能動性的邊界在哪裏呢？作者有一種過於浪漫化的傾嚮，在描述窮人之能動性的時候隻把重心放在他們的種種伎倆上，而沒有把同樣重要（甚至更為重要）的那些局限因素以同等的力度刻畫齣來——這不僅有失偏頗，也在某種程度上削減瞭這些故事內蘊的政治性。
