2018年Sigrid Nunez获得美国国家图书奖。当时决定买本Salvation City（2010年出版）读读看。末世、灾难、乌托邦主题，读完并不觉得新鲜。2020年7月的今天出门随手带本书，翻看着惊讶着感叹着：流感病毒、口罩、关闭学校、隔离……小说第一部分就是现在啊。小说总体讲述了13岁的Cole在末世之时，思想和信仰如何得到成长和确立，立意四平八稳，文字无奇，叙述略微拖沓。再结合当下，末日灾难真正来临时，告诉人们有一个现成的乌托邦，是多么无力。
