Favourite Ballard so far!!! An atypical novel about a typical class struggle. Favourite character (out of the three protagonists) is Wilder - his metamorphosis is so fluid yet so absolutely daunting. Laing, the 'only sane person' who eventually succumbs to his own perversions and enjoys the high rise the most out of all two thousand people.

Twisted human psyche is far more disturbing than the tech-noir of Bladerunner. Ballard sure knows how to write dereliction.【ch9之後改聽有聲書【尼瑪拖瞭一年多纔看完。。。看得人渾身不舒服。
