掉書袋的偵探愛情故事,看完意猶未盡,隻是結尾巧閤太多有點落入俗套。另外,這一版的字印得實在太小,不推薦購買此版本。
评分拜厄特用瞭兩個夏天完成這本書,她已經構思十五年瞭。最先確定的是書名,靈感來自Coleridge和研究他的Kathleen Coburn,想著她把一生都獻給瞭這個死人。她最先要的是死者與活人、研究者與詩人、性的連接。又放棄不掉學院的部份,又決意仿照Eco玫瑰的名字,把維多利亞時代召喚迴來,再加入多蘿西的偵探寫法。於是通俗和遺世獨立、世俗和性靈混雜在一起,反而對立著把那魂牽夢縈的東西降調瞭,接榫處處理得並不好,學院其他人物形象過於通俗,最後開墓的部份甚至有點鬧劇的意味。放掉瞭女性之間更深層的微妙,但確實留下瞭魂牽夢縈如夢似幻的東西。如果是atwood寫,會更流暢文體更繁多絢麗,但會失去拜厄特的生澀。如果是PF來寫,會減掉三分之二篇幅,但保留遺世獨立的氣質。如果是門羅來寫,嗯,她會換個切入點。

评分這本書買來已經將近一年,可是我現在讀瞭一半不到一點,中間停停看看,剛開始我似乎被作者華麗和細膩的辭藻弄得有點缺乏耐心,現在重新拾起,似乎發現瞭魅力,期待中(๑˙ー˙๑)
