關於人性的短篇小說。很喜歡主人公勞拉。在我這個當媽的年紀裏，如果我的女兒被教養成如此一位善良有同理心的孩子我應該會很欣慰。然而迴歸到生活本身，大部分人還是會采取母親和姐姐的做法。如何嚮臨近的陌生人錶達善意是正確的呢？是默默地取消自己的快樂喧嘩以避免刺激到不幸中的傢庭，還是在盡情享受完自己的快樂以後“順帶”著給予他人一些錶達同情慰問的施捨？生活大抵是幾傢歡喜幾傢愁。當你的體貼並不見得為彆人所在意，你還是否還會犧牲自己的快樂去默默的體貼彆人的不幸？

很明顯的社會階級差異，一個傻白甜小姐姐和冷漠的傢人。作為一個現在社會成年人，看的時候很容易被Jose和Mother的想法同化，有一句話mother說對瞭，”People like that don’t expect sacrifices from us”, 這話不錯。生活在底層的人很可能被社會磨礪而充滿戾氣，冒冒失失的傻白甜小姐姐很可能不會帶來任何安慰，隻會讓人在心底嘲諷這無可奈何的“命”。但是這是錯誤的。傻白甜本質上沒有犯任何錯，她是唯一的善，而我們最不應該做的，就是在自己都做不到善的時候反而去輕衊這一份善良。
