Multiple roles allow the actors to construct, deconstruct, dignify, or humanize great figures and confess their private fears. At times they become the playwright's devices or even personas, discussing art, freedom, constraint, life, and death. The desire to know and be knowing haunts.

讀完纔發現網盤裏有現場資源，真開心！在讀之前對Auden和Britten二人都是根本沒聽說過，讀完之後也還是不太瞭解，但感覺這兩人對於Alan而言工具性要大於故事性，最主要的是把他本人對於戲劇、性、藝術等主題的想法都藉角色之口錶達瞭齣來，而因為角色的不同，觀點發散又有分歧，感覺最後收尾要收好很不容易，果然最後Kay的那段話有些不夠力度。總結下來就是我還太年輕見識太少，讀完沒有什麼很深的感受，但能感覺齣來這個本子很厲害，可能過幾年再讀能更好地理解吧。
