隻能當很初級的anthology來讀，可以對Syriac spirituality有一個大概的瞭解(thematically)。如果要對其中列舉的某一個theologian細讀的話還需要找另外的專著（當然我是不會好心地把這些專著列在這裏的lol）。尤其Ephrem和Evagrius的部分，基本就彆指望這本書瞭吧...
