【作者简介】

[美] 理查德•邓恩（Richard S.Dunn）

宾夕法尼亚大学历史系荣誉教授，曾就读于哈佛大学和普林斯顿大学，毕业后在普林斯顿大学、密歇根大学、宾夕法尼亚大学担任教职，曾任宾夕法尼亚大学历史系主任，并创建了宾夕法尼亚大学麦克尼尔早期美国研究中心。

邓恩是美国历史学会和早期美国历史文化协会会员，他在职业生涯中曾收获众多的荣誉和奖项。他曾是古根海姆研究员、牛津大学皇后学院研究员以及宾夕法尼亚大学林“贝克教学奖”获得者。他和玛丽•邓丽共同编辑的《威廉•佩恩论文集》获得过1990年殖民战争协会授予的“杰出图书奖”。
